22nd May 2005 Windsurfing: Daymar Wind Direction: Wind Stength: Surf / Sea State: Air Temperature: Sea Temperature: Weather: Max Speed: Distance Covered: As it was rainy in Devon, decided to push into Cornwall to have a look. Turned up at Daymar bay to find solid 6.0m weather and bright sunshine. Rigged the 5.7m and max 2 Air and ran onto the water. A little under powered but still enjoying myself, I struggled to get upwind for a while, getting washed over the rocks once then decided to change up. 6.5m and Max 2 Air. Still not brilliant so changed to the Stoke and went cruising. Flying upwind and really enjoying myself, doing huge runs from the mouth of the estuary to Padstow and back. Great fun. Came in to meet some friends then had another 30mins just as the wind was dropping. Still great fun though |
